Ken Kelley is a mentor to entrepreneurs starting biotech or medical device companies in Northern or Southern California. He has over 30 years of experience in over 36 startups in the roles of venture capitalist, co-founder, entrepreneur or independent director. Ken currently serves as Chairman of Halozyme Therapeutics (HALO), PaxVax, and Fluxion Biosystems. He also advises or serves on the boards of Elevation Pharmaaceuticals, Jan Medical, Numerate, and Solus Biosystems. He was the founder/CEO at IntraBiotics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. which he took public in 2000 (Nasdaq: IBPI). Ken participated in the startup financing of over two dozen biotech and medical device companies at Latterell Venture Partners (LVP) and earlier at Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). He was also a consultant for McKinsey & Company and a scientist at Integrated Genetics (acquired by Genzyme). He has an MBA from Stanford and a BA in biochemical sciences from Harvard. Ken's offices are in Menlo Park, California.
