Ken Kelley is a seed investor and mentor to entrepreneurs starting biotech, medical device, diagnostic or instrumentation companies in Northern California. He has over 30 years of experience in over 36 startups in the roles of venture capitalist, co-founder, entrepreneur and independent director.
Ken currently serves on the Boards of Fluxion Bioscience, Jan Medical, Halozyme Therapeutics (HALO), and PaxVax. He was the founder/CEO at IntraBiotics Pharmaceuticals which he took public, Fluxion Biosciences, and PaxVax. He advises Intrinsic Life Sciences and Applied Immunology. Ken participated in the startup financing of over two dozen biotech and medical device companies at Latterell Venture Partners (LVP) and earlier at Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). He was also a consultant for McKinsey & Company and a scientist at Integrated Genetics (acquired by Genzyme). He has an MBA from Stanford and a BA in biochemical sciences from Harvard.
